The Large Catechism

"It contains what every Christian should know. Anyone who does not know it should not be numbered among Christians nor admitted to any sacrament, just as artisans who do not know the rules and practices of their craft are rejected and considered incompetent. For this reason young people should be thoroughly taught the parts of the catechism (that is, instruction for children) and diligently drilled in their practice. Therefore, it is the duty of every head of a household at least once a week to examine the children and... ascertain what they know or have learned of it, and, if they do not know it, to keep them faithfully at it." Martin Luther, Preface to the Large Catechism

Luther's Large Catechism

This series of podcasts were recorded and originally aired beginning September 12, 2016 at St. John's Lutheran Church and School in New Boston, MI. Originally written for the benefit of those who did not have their own copy of the Word of God, Luther's Large Catechism is the perfect snapshot of all the teachings of Scripture. While not as consistent as the flagship The Gospel for You program, these podcasts provide the reader with some practical applications to this watershed and relevant document of theology.

Featured guests from this series of episodes are: Rev. Jeffrey Wade (Host), Rev. David Dunlop, and Rev. Adam Steinbrenner.
